About me
I'm Ingred Vaesen.
Born in 1966 in the old fortified town of Heusden in North Brabant.
I come from a creative family; both my parents were photographers.
I inherited my creative streak from both parents.
I'm self-taught, and although I've come a long way, I'm still on a creative journey.
Painting gives me a feeling of freedom and inner peace.
Not having to think about anything, letting your thoughts flow freely.
I enjoy working with natural pigments and recycled materials found on the street or from thrift stores...
These materials have already lived a life.
By reusing these materials, my artworks are imperfect.
The artworks are often minimalist, rugged, and raw...
I draw my inspiration from travel, nature, and the streets.
I work intuitively and let my feelings guide me.
I begin without knowing where the journey will end.
This way, each painting/sculpture becomes a unique work of art.
I hope you enjoy browsing my website.
You are welcome by appointment in the art studio/atelier.
